Karen Meyers

Karen Meyers, a resident of Kinsey, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at a local hospital.  She was 58.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to help offset funeral expenses.

Karen was born on October 15, 1957 in Houston County and spent the early part of her life in the Dothan area. She lived in Panama City for several years prior to moving back to Dothan 3 years ago. She was a long-time employee with Waffle House working in several locations.

Survivors include her sons, Jeremy Heather Roberts and Damian Roberts; a grandson Dakota Harrell; her mother, Janice Jimmy Suggs; her brothers, John Rita Hughes, David Newton, and Randy Gloria Askew; her sister, Toni Robert Byrd; several nieces and nephews.
