Katheren Kirkland

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Malone, Florida with Rev. Mike Baxley officiating.

Katheren was born on February 6, 1936 in Jackson County, Florida to Ernest and Ruby Avery Ducker, Sr. and resided in Malone, Florida the early years of her life. She graduated from Malone High School and moved to Dothan where she worked with Eye Center South and then with Internal Medicine of Dothan until she retired. Katheren enjoyed the adventures of traveling with her friends from work. Katheren was a sweet and gentle person who will be terribly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

Katheren was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Nicky and Mark Deck, and by her granddaughter, Rebecca Sauls.

Survivors include her son, Neal Deck; her daughter, Tammy (David) Sauls; her 4 grandchildren, Tabitha (Bobby) Carter, Tiffany (Justin) Baxley, Chris Deck, and Taylor (Dallas) Sauls; her 7 great-grandchildren; her 2 brothers, John Ducker and Ernest Ducker; her sister, Ann Hill; and several nephews.
