Kathy Leigh Grooms

It is with a heavy yet grateful heart that we share the news of Kathy Leigh Grooms, age 70, of Ozark, AL, who peacefully went to her Eternal Home to be with Jesus on December 6, 2024. She is now reunited with her mother, Olivia Carolyn Davidson, her father, Charlie Edsel Grooms, and her precious granddaughter, Sarah Jak Bryant.

Kathy truly had a servant's heart, always eager to come alongside her family and friends, lovingly filling in the gaps to support them in any way she could. With over 25 years of experience as a waitress, she touched countless lives with her warm humor and engaging conversations. She found joy in bowling, playing softball, cards, dominoes, and word games, always relishing a good chat. Kathy had a wonderfully unique way of connecting with people, never hesitating to share her thoughts with kindness. She cherished reading the Bible and enjoyed watching the latest Christian films, deepening her faith and sharing her love for life with everyone around her.

She is survived by her brother, Albert Grooms, and his son, Douglas Grooms. Her sons include Wesley Thomas Woodham, along with his wife, Sophia Woodham; Chris Lee Woodham and his wife, Faith Woodham; and Michael Shane Woodham. Additionally, she leaves behind her grandchildren: Wyatt Woodham, Blaze Woodham, Jerzee Woodham, Emma Bryant, and Vera Woodham.

Plans are underway for a private gathering of family and friends to honor Kathy’s life, and the memories shared during her time with us. We anticipate reuniting with her one sweet day!
