Kathy Woodard, a resident of Ozark, Alabama was called home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was 65. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 am at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama with Rev. Jim Hill and Rev. Scott Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Kathy was born on June 8, 1953 in Americus, Georgia and lived in Cordele, Georgia her early years. She was a 1972 graduate of Crisp County High School. Kathy supported her husband during his military career and they lived all over the world. In 1990, she moved to Ozark, Alabama where she was employed at Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union for several years. Kathy loved history, traveling, making scrapbooks of her family's vacations and making a lifetime of memories together. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Polly Harris; her twin sister, Karen Harris; and her brother, Wallace Harris. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, James David Woodard; her son, Chris (Allison) Woodard; her daughter, Tammy (Mike) Lewis; her grandchildren, Kayla Green, Dylan Green, Madalyn Woodard, Britany Woodard and Jeorgie Wynn; her brother, Lee (Sharon) Harris; her brother-in-law, William (Dottie) Woodard; her sisters-in-law, Carol Kelley, Frances (Chuck) Cravens and Barbara (Ken) Elvick; and several nieces and nephews. Serving as pall bearers will be James Williams, Broderick Bender, Tracy McCord, Tracy Nelson, Rodney Hawkins and James Rice. Burial Date July 19, 2018 Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 am at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, Alabama with Rev. Jim Hill and Rev. Scott Thompson officiating.
