Katie Nell Drinkwater

Katie Nell Drinkwater, 26, of Ashford, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Yancey officiating. Burial will follow in Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Pansey. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Katie Drinkwater was born May 5, 1990 in Dothan and resided in Houston County all of her life. She attended Ashford High School. She loved listening to music, singing, and reading her daily Bible devotional.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Thurman Drinkwater and Nellie Jones; her aunts Donna McCraney and Barbara Helms.

Survivors include her parents Kenneth and Wanda Drinkwater; her brothers, Kevin Angela Drinkwater and Jason Drinkwater; her sisters, Makala Joan Drinkwater and Sherry David Pate; her grandfather, Herman Jones; her grandmother, Merle Drinkwater; her aunts, Joan Hopkins, Debbie Scott Marrone, Janice Glen Lewis, Kim Jones, Janie Swearingen, Joyce Tim Stewart, and Phyllis Addeth Folkes; her uncles, Mike McCraney, Terry Rose Drinkwater, and Charles Ronda Jones; numerous cousins and many special friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Hopkins, Dustin Reagan, Jeffery Goodson, Mikey McCraney, Kevin Drinkwater, and Jason Drinkwater.
