Katie Sue Williams

Katie Sue Williams of Dothan went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017 in Dothan. She was 86.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Woody Farrington officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Eufaula, AL with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm.

Mrs. Williams was born on January 24, 1931 in Baker Hill, AL and lived there the early years of her life. She moved to Miami, FL and lived there for 13 years before moving to Orlando where she was employed as Clerk of the Court in Orange County for several years prior to her retirement in 1996. Mrs. Williams has resided in Dothan since 2000. She was a very interesting lady who loved her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Williams had a knack of bringing out the best in people, she will be remembered for her big heart and personality. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Williams; her grandchildren, Aila Mobley and Marin Mobley.

Survivors include her daughters, Esther Williams and Vanessa Williams; her grandchildren, Paula Andrews and Adriana Williams; her sisters, Emmie Ruth Beasley and Melba Hammond; several nieces and nephews.
