Kellie Marie Weed Northrop

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Kellie Marie Weed Northrop, 48, of Hamilton, GA and formerly of Midland City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her residence.

rnMemorial services will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Bo Weed officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Sandi and Mikie Walding, 3971 Headland, Ave., Dothan, Alabama. rnKellie was born October 29, 1962 and lived the early part of her life in Midland City and was a graduate of Dale County High School class of 1981. She resided in Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, and Greenville, SC for a number of years prior to moving to Hamilton, GA in 2004. She was employed as a realtor with Waddell Realty for the past 7 years. She was an avid sports woman and her hobbies included water sports, dancing and sky diving. rnKellie was preceded in death by her father Glenn Weed; grandparents, W.T. and Mamie Weed, Otto and Coner Jenkins; and brothers-in-law, Jim Crumpler and Gene Bowden. rnSurvivors include her husband Boyd Northrop and her daughter Logan Northrop, both of Hamilton, GA; her mother Marie Weed, Midland City; her sisters and brothers, Glenda Ann Crumpler, Midland City, Glenn Weed Betty Jeanne, Dothan, Judy Bowden, Sedona, AZ, Mary Sinquefield Doug, Cowarts, Martha Waltz Greg, Newton, Ronnie Weed Carole, Midland City, Douglas Weed Starla, Dothan, Nancy Pomrenke Bob, Jacksonville, FL, Sandi Walding Mikie, Dothan, Bo Weed Marilyn, Troy, and Pete Weed Cindi, Midland City; father and mother-in-law, Cliff and Coleen Northrop, Cataula, GA; sister-in-law Angie Northrop, Greenville, SC; 25 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great-niece. rnFlowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W.
