Kevin Godwin

Kevin Godwin, 22, of Newton, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnServices will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Max McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mission of Hope, 14970 Mission Rd., Mobile, AL 36608, or to The Ark, 475 W. Main St., Dothan, AL 36301. rnKevin was born on September 22, 1988 in Dothan. He attended Newton Elementary School and was a 2007 graduate of Dale County High School. Kevin was a 2010 graduate of Enterprise State Junior College in Ozark and held an Associate Degree in electronic aviation. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Hopkins and Arthur Vaughn. rnSurvivors include his parents, Terry and Jill Godwin of Newton and Doug and Teri Goff of Ashford; brothers, Kyle Godwin of Ashford and David McSween of Carlsbad, CA; sisters, Carla Smith Brad of Dothan, Ranah McSween of Dothan, and Rhonda McSween of Birmingham, AL; grandparents, Jerry and Sue Godwin of Dothan and Pat Hopkins of Ashford; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
