Lakesha Knight

LaKesha R. Knight, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2019. She was 39. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services. LaKesha was born March 30, 1980 in Dothan, Alabama to Brenda Lee McNealy and Victor Franklin. She was a 2000 graduate of Dothan High School. She married Stephen Dwayne Knight on September 28, 2009, in Dothan, Alabama. LaKesha was a shift manager at Checkers of Dothan for 20 years. LaKesha truly lived life to the fullest, she had a "Heart of Gold." She enjoyed spending time with her 3 beautiful children. LaKesha had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Lakesha is survived by her husband, Stephen Knight; her 2 sons, Taran and Tavarian; her daughter, Taliah; her mother, Brenda Lee McNealy; her grandmother, Rosie McNealy; her 2 sisters, Lashay (Vernon) McNealy Snell, Latoya McNealy; her brother, Rashawn McNealy; her uncles, Charles McNealy and Billy McNealy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; and a host of brothers and sisters. Burial Date January 3, 2020 Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
