Larry Etheridge, 68, of Westville, FL and formerly of Ashford died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Wiregrass Medical Center.

Memorial services with military honors will be held 10 am Monday, February 21, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial services.rnMr. Etheridge was born June 8, 1942 in Ashford and he resided most of his life there. He was employed with Blount Construction and Hubbard Construction as a concrete superintendent for several years prior to his retirement in 1995. Mr. Etheridge resided in Leonia, Florida for the past four months. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Ashford Masonic Lodge.rnSurvivors include his companion, Beverley Barlow; his daughters, Melissa Richardson and her husband Donnie of Columbia, Amanda Powers and her husband Jonathan of Cottonwood, Jessica Downing and her husband Jerry of Jacksonville, FL; a son Rusty Fondren of Homer, LA; 6 grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Joseph Richardson, Zachary Richardson, Jamie Powers, Logan Powers, Jolie Downing; a brother, Keith Etheridge, Blakely, GA; six sisters, Marjorie Gaylord, Cottonwood, Martha Paulk, Georgia, Merlene Donley, Dothan, Claranell Vandevander, West Virginia, Betty Tittle, Dothan and Sherry Lewis, Blakely, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
