Leslie Mcelveen

Leslie McElveen, of Newton, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017 at a Florida Hospital. He was 70.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday June 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Dion McCormick officiating. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. McElveen was born March 15, 1947 in Hialeah, Florida and resided in Miami. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, enjoyed Nascar racing and watching the San Francisco 49ers play football.

He is preceded in death by his parents Osteen McElveen, Ruby and Bob Dingle, and his brother Steve McElveen.

Survivors include his children Heather (Mike) Alford and Heath (Melinda) McElveen; five grandchildren, Taylor and Cole Alford, Kaylee, Lexi and Levi McElveen; two sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Wessels and Marylynn Hyle; and several nieces and nephews.
