Lettie Mumford

Lettie V. Mumford, 93, of Dothan passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Antioch Assembly of God in Grangerburg with Rev. Les Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing.

Mrs. Mumford was born and lived her early life in Houston County.  She lived in Washington, DC for 27 years and returned to Dothan in 1963 where she has since resided.  She was a loving mother and dedicated to church and service for God.  For many years she played her guitar and sang during church services.  She attended Dothan Church of God until developing Alzheimer complications which led to her current residence at Westside Terrace.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Becky Stewart, Dothan, Mrs. Henrika Prescott, Hemet, California, Mrs. Jeanette Moss, Niceville, Florida, one son Robert Mumford, Lorton, Va.  10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
