Lillian L. Fondren

Lillian L. Fondren, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, October 30, 2010 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 1, 2010 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm.Lillian was born on May 14, 1944 in Geneva County and lived there the early part of her life. She moved to Dothan and was employed with Ford Motor Credit for 27 years until she retired. Lillian was co-owner and operator of Sweet Gardenia Florist and was later employed with Automotive Finance Corporation. She loved music and to dance, she also loved to travel and go to the beach. Lillian attended First Baptist Church.Lillian was preceded in death by her dad, J. T. Fondren and a sister, Sara F. Hughes.Survivors include her daughter, Julie Summers and her husband, Anthony Barreiro, Charlotte, NC; her mother, Sybil H. Fondren, Hartford, AL; her brother, Bobby G. Fondren, Hartford, AL; her sister, Virginia A. Fondren, all of Dothan; and her fiancé, Eddie Childers, Dothan. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
