Lillie Virginia Blair, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Extendicare Health and Rehab. She was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Williams and Ron Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Toys for Tots. Mrs. Blair was born October 28, 1937 in Robertsdale, Alabama and she lived the early years of her life there. Married to a Marine they lived in several places throughout his career. Mrs. Blair moved to Webb in 1975 and was in the healthcare industry sitting with patients at local hospital and nursing homes. She later worked with Stringer Street Elementary School for 11 years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Blair loved the Lord and attending Northside Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed going to the Grand Ole Opry and she would listen to it every Saturday night. Mrs. Blair loved to travel and see the country. She was preceded in death by her husband, Medric Blair; two sons, Billy Blair and Kenny Blair; her grandson, Chris Blair. Survivors include her sons, Greg (Rileen) Blair and Anthony Blair; daughter, Debra (Frank) Lawson; grandchildren, Misty Blair, Amber Carpenter, Makesha Nowell, Josh Lawson, Dustin Blair, Tori Blair, and Dylan Blair; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a lifelong friend, Katherine White.
