Linda Marie Floyd

Linda Marie Floyd, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Extendicare Health and Rehab. She was 61.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Troy Walsingham officiating. Graveside services will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Thursday evening.Mrs. Floyd was born June 18, 1948 in Jackson County, Florida and she lived the early years of her life in Graceville, Florida and Napier Field, Alabama. She resided in Midland City for several years and owned and operated L&M Beauty Hut prior to her retirement. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Christian Lighthouse Church and the Dixie Divas of Dothan. Mrs. Floyd’s daughter would like to express her thanks and appreciation to the loving and caring friends at Extendicare. Survivors include her daughter, Kellie Phillips, and her husband, Chris, Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Phillips and Christopher Phillips, Jr.; her sister, Laura Dudley, Dothan; a nephew, Kenny Walding, Jr., Dothan.
