Linda Varner Nagle, a resident of Dothan, AL formerly of Sayre, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was 72. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Lee officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone wishing to remember Linda make donations to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Rd., Montgomery, AL, 36111 or to any animal shelter. Mrs. Nagle was born in Bethlehem, PA on March 13, 1946. She graduated from Sayre High School, attended Kutztown State Teachers College and received her master's degree from Troy University. Mrs. Nagle retired from Spectracare of Dothan, where she was employed as a mental health therapist working mainly with children. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Mrs. Nagle enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers and loved all animals, especially dogs. Mrs. Nagle was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Elda Varner. Survivors include her husband, Edward Nagle; her sons, Brian (Beth) Burger, Jonathan (Christine) Burger, and John (Debra) Nagle; her daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Bilinski; her grandchildren, Dean and Amanda Burger of Taylor, AL, Bryce and Trent Burger of Fort Pierce, FL, Alexandra, Samantha, and Matthew of Holly Springs, NC, Emma and Jared Bilinski of Dolgeville, NY; her brother, Willard (Patricia) Varner, Kutztown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
