Linda Ann Kirkland Woodham, 67, of Midland City passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at her residence in Midland City, AL.

rnFuneral services will be 10:30 am Monday, March 5, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations sent to American Cancer Society, 207 Shadow Lane, Troy, Alabama 36079. rnMs. Woodham was born March 31, 1944 in Medulla, FL and moved to Midland City in 1962 after marrying where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a bus driver for 25 years in Dale County, a substitute teacher, a homemaker and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where she was an active member of Mrs. Ann Blackmon’s Sunday School class. She was known for her sweet, giving spirit and kind heart. One of her greatest joys was making her home a place of love for her family and friends by gardening and cooking/baking; she was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Kirkland, her mother, Nettie Lou Hood Kirkland, her sister, Evelyn Gandy, and brothers, Ray Kirkland and Louis Kirkland. rnSurvivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Blake Alison Woodham; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey Jeff Koch, Renae Andy Ward, and Becky Woodham-Higginbotham; 6 grandchildren, Christopher and Taylor Woodham, Caleb and Abby Koch, and Nate and Faith Ann Ward; four brothers, Everett Kirkland, Vernon Kirkland, Tommy Kirkland and Donald Kirkland of Florida; three sisters-Sue Freeman, Joyce Faulkner, and Agnes Brown, of Florida. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
