Lisa Dawn Morgan

July 20, 1966 — December 17, 2013

Lisa Dawn Barnes Morgan, age 47 of Dothan passed away Tuesday December 17, 2013 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 pm Saturday December 21, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Reverend C. J. Morgan officiating.  The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Friday December 20, 2013 at the funeral home.

Dawn was born July 20, 1966 in Dothan, Alabama. She was a 1985 graduate of Dothan High School and then completed EMT training at Wallace Community College where she developed many lifelong friendships. She worked as an EEG Technician for several years and then accepted a position at Coffman International, where she was employed for over seventeen years. Dawn’s journeys took her from Alaska to Arizona, but she always came home to Dothan. After she left Coffman, she became a full-time caretaker for her father-in-law Donald Morgan, Sr. until his death in August 2013. Her devotion and kindness to Pawpaw will always be remembered by his family; however, her most important life’s work was the care, feeding, and loving of her dogs. Jake, Molly, Dolly, Tucker, Pearl, and Charlie were her babies and were spoiled and loved unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her devoted grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Zack Shellhouse and her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Morgan, Sr.

Survivors include her husband Donald Ray Morgan, Jr.; her stepson Travis Morgan; her dogs, Pearl and Charlie, who will miss her tremendously; her mother Mary Roger Barnes; her father Amos Tindell; her brother Neal Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Burial Date: January 1, 1970
