Logan Rudolph Bennett

Logan Rudolph Bennett, 17, of Cowarts passed away Friday April 24, 2015.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Ashford City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Bolin officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to www.gofundme.com/loganbennettfund to assist the family with expenses.

Logan was born May 4, 1997 in Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. He moved to Dothan in 2001 and later to Ashford in 2006. He was a senior at Ashford High School and the Salutatorian of his class and the president of the Drama Club. Logan was a writer and loved to write stories, novels, and poems. He also loved to spend time outdoors. He was on delayed enlistment with the U.S. Marine Corps, scheduled for basic in September. He was preceded in death by his grandfather "Papa" Earnie McClenny

Survivors include his mother, Melinda Christopher McClenny; his father, James Dawn Bennett, Jr.; grandparents, Arthur P. Fay Miller, Sr., Ramona Miller, and Linda L. McClenny; brothers, James Thomas Bennett, III, Christopher Anthony Bennett, Treshaun Johnson, Eric Braswell and Tanner C. McClenny; sisters, Nikki Bennett and Candace Lane; aunts and uncles, Arthur P. and Tracey Miller, Jr., Joseph Bennett, Kameron McClenny, and Angela Bennett; cousins, Katlin Bennett, Kyleigh Bennett, Kamryn Bennett, and Kassidy Bennett; numerous great-aunts and great-uncles.
