Lois Jeanne Rowe

Lois Jeanne Rowe, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her residence. She was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Marks officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at Cornerstone 2685 John D. Odom Rd, Dothan Al, following the services.

Mrs. Rowe was born on January 25, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois and lived in Illinois the early years of her life. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Bible College in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and received her license as an ordained minister with Foursquare Gospel Church. She co-pastored with her husband at Dothan Foursquare Gospel Church from 1966 until 1999. Mrs. Rowe also received her nutritionist degree and she has a passion for holistic lifestyle.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Everett Rowe; her son, Keith Rowe; her daughter, Karen Strickland; her 11 grandchildren, Timothy Strickland, Anthony Strickland, Jeremy Strickland, Gregory Strickland, Joy Strickland, Stephanie Strickland, Tiffany Strickland, Angelina Christine Rowe, Ryan Rowe, Tabitha Kirby, and Trisha Browning; her 3 great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold Muetzel; and her sister, Sharon Machen; and several nieces and nephews.
