Lorraine W. Poole

Lorraine W. Poole passed Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Wesley Place. Lorraine was born June 6, 1935 Passaic, NJ. She graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in chemistry and biology. Lorraine moved to the Dothan area when displaced by Hurricane Sandy. She spoke often of missing the New Jersey beach and long time friends Danny Hart, Georgianna Dipierro, and Jan Faust from that area. Everyone who saw her commented on her beautiful blue eyes. She enjoyed Midland City Senior Center until her health and circumstances required placement at Wesley Place. Linda Kies, and Marilynne Pippin had the privilege of being her guardians while at Wesley Place. She kept us both busy! Some of Marilynne Pippin's favorite memories of Lorraine were our times in aquacise at Westgate Therapy Pool. Lorraine loved talking to others, dogs, chocolate, hot tea, Pepperidge Farm Cookies, gummy bears. She played pinochle with Janet Gunson until her vision and health declined about 6 months ago. My thanks to Shannon, Felicia, Jamie, Nicole, Laila, and many other caregivers/ staff at Wesley Place who helped with Lorraine.
