Lou Anne Magrino

Lou Anne Magrino, 76, of Dothan, passed away May 3, 2017 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held 11am Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dothan Area Botanical Gardens, 5130 Headland Ave., Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Ms. Magrino was born March 27, 1941 in Dothan and she was a 1959 graduate of Dothan High School. While her children were small, she was a homemaker and a stay at home mom. Ms. Magrino was employed as a bookkeeper with Steensland and Associates Surveyors, Scientific Industries and Byrd Funeral Home until she retired in 2007. Ms. Magrino looked forward to and really enjoyed her weekly gameday group of friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Ms. Magrino was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Clifton and Elizabeth Lee Smith; her sister, June S. Johnson; her nephew, Bruce Edward Hawkins.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy Beagle; her daughters, Charlotte Henderson, Montgomery and Linda Bastion, Mandeville, LA; her son, Michael (Jennifer) Magrino, Dothan; and; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Gabrielle, Madison and Hunter Bastion, Victoria and Savannah Henderson, Maddox and Mallory Magrino.
