Lou Ward

Lou Ward, a resident of Napier Field, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at a local hospital.  She was 60.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Quincey officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Monday.

Mrs. Ward was born August 8, 1953 in Panama City, Florida.  She lived the early years of her life in Midland City and was a 1971 graduate of Dale County High School.  Mrs. Ward was employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center for several years until her retirement in 1994.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with her brothers. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and attended Mt. Enon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her son, Jason Ward, and by her parents, David and Sally J. Eldridge Givens.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Ward; her son, Billy Ward; her two grandchildren, Athena Ward and Brandon Ward; her brothers, Drew Penny Givens and Al Corine Givens; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary Woods Hibbs, Barbara Bass, Henry and Virginia Ward, and Lomax Glover; several nieces and nephews.
