Louvern Douglas

September 4, 1942 — March 5, 2016

Louvern Douglas, 73, a resident of Pansey, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Dunnham and Pastor Roger Dunnham officiating.  Burial will follow in Springhill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-2 pm.

Mrs. Douglas was born September 4, 1942 in Hartford, Alabama and lived most of her life in Pansey.  She was a homemaker and loved to play Rummy with her grandchildren.  Mrs. Douglas also loved to garden, especially roses, fishing for brim and was an avid collector of lighthouses.

Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Versie Lee Railey, her brothers and sisters, Junior Railey, Horace Railey, Myrtle Railey, Auby Railey, and Jack Railey.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Randall Rex Douglas; her 2 sons, Earnest R. Douglas and Randy Lee Harrison; her 6 daughters, Wanda E. Stiver, Tammy D. Harrison, Donna M. Appling, Janna D. Wortham, Sandy C. Hall, and Angela K. Marchman; her 18 grandchildren, Sherry Anthony, Christina Strength, Brandon Zorich, David Zorich, Kassie Gordon, Rick Appling, Peyton Wortham, Sydney Wortham, Mallory Marchman, Makinley Marchman, Kelsey Smith, Raeleigh Smith, Madison Ingram, Kaleb Douglas, Deanna Nowlin, Stephanie Pitts, Christopher Harrison, and Jessica Harrison; her 12 great-grandchildren, Alex Zorich, Braeden Zorich, Trinity Zorich, Harley Strength, Ally Strength, Tybus Anthony, Levi Anthony, Adin Anthony, Destiny Collins, Ava Griffin, Brooke Nowlin, and Baleigh Nowlin; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Rick Appling, Damian Appling, Todd Marchman, Kevin Wortham, Kaleb Douglas, and Adam Hall.
