“Mack” McReynolds, 89, devoted husband of Dot for 65 years, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 12, 2011, surrounded by family at his home. He is survived by his wife Dot, sister Mary, son Mack and wife Dolly, three granddaughters Karan and husband, Gerry, Kim and husband, Michael, and Kelly, three great-granddaughters Ashlee, Katie, and Ella, and one great-grandson, Mason.
rnBorn in Sturgis, MS, the son of Mary Elizabeth and John Andrew McReynolds, Mack was raised in Starkville, MS. He was a WWII veteran proudly serving as a tail gunner in the 8th Army Air Force Flying Fortress Bomb Group. rnMack and Dot were married in 1945. He joined Kraft Foods sales force and retired after 32 years of service. Mack and Dot moved to Dothan in 1952 and were very involved at the beginning of Evergreen Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder. Mack was also an avid golfer. His bright spirit and gentle wisdom remain a positive influence to all that knew him. rnA graveside service, for immediate family, will be held on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 9:00 AM CST. A church memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM CST on Saturday, May 14 at Evergreen Presbyterian in Dothan, AL.
