Magalene Maggie Hardwick, 80, of Coffee Springs, AL passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 surrounded by her family.

rnMemorial services will be held 3 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. George Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. rnMaggie was born July 29, 1931 in Louisville, AL to the late Tullis and Charity Helms. She lived most of her adult life in Henry County, AL where she worked from home as a seamstress and full time mother. Maggie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Christine Helms, Julie Mae Helms and her brother Tony Randall Helms rnSurvivors include her 4 daughters, Olivia Fleming and her husband Robert of Abbeville, AL, Virginia Bostick and her husband Derrell of Newville, AL, Amy Parrish and her husband Elton of Coffee Springs, AL, and April Parker and her husband Brent of Dothan; a son Tommy Hardwick and his wife Barbara of Montgomery, AL; 2 brothers, Eddie Helms and his wife Betty of Montgomery, AL and Robert “Mickey” Helms and his wife Sharma of Dothan, AL; a sister Dot Helms of Montgomery, AL; an adopted sister Jan Thompson of Montgomery, AL; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends.rnrn Burial Date: January 1, 1970
