Malcom Eugene Johnson, 74, of Midland City, AL passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at his residence.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Friday at 4 pm August 27, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Coley Holloway officiating and Robert Byrd directing. Mr. Johnson was born on October 19, 1935 in Pansey, AL and lived the early years of his life there. He joined the U.S. Army and served for 6 years and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was employed in construction for several years and most of his working life was spent in the trucking and transportation industry until his medical retirement in 2009.Survivors include his wife Sara Johnson of Midland City, AL; his sons Allen Johnson and Marty Johnson and his wife Ashley of Georgia; step-children, Clay Benefield and his wife Tonya of Montgomery, AL and Raye Toscano and her husband Frank of Clearwater, FL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother Johnny Johnson and his wife Martha of Cottonwood, AL; sisters, Betty Anderson of Anderson, SC, Mary Arrington and her husband Fred of Ozark, AL and Sonja Etheredge and her husband Arlin; several nieces and nephews also survive.
