Margaret Dell Hale, a beacon of unwavering love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, in Ozark, Alabama. Born on June 25, 1938, in Bellwood, Alabama, Margaret's life was a testament to the power of faith and the strength of the human spirit.

Margaret's early years in Bellwood were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, including her late brothers Lester and Junior Griggs, her sister Sara Nell Martin, and her late sister Iona "Tiny" Dunn. Her family was her cornerstone, and she carried those values of kinship and devotion throughout her life.

In her professional life, Margaret was a dedicated employee at Parisians from the day they opened their doors until her well-deserved retirement. Her work ethic and commitment to service were emblematic of her character, and she was respected and admired by both colleagues and customers alike.

Margaret's heart knew no bounds, and she found her soulmate in her late husband, Gene Hale. Their love story was one for the ages, and together they founded the Grimes Gospel Music Group, spreading joy and inspiration through their shared passion for music. Her legacy lives on through her loving daughters Delorace Garrett (Jerry) and Donna Parsons (Bill); her son, Mike Hale; and her late daughter Loretta Hensarling. The matriarch of a large and loving family, Margaret was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Those who knew Margaret would describe her as loving, selfless, and faith-filled. She navigated life's challenges with grace and always put others before herself. In times of need, Margaret was a source of strength and comfort to her family and friends, embodying the spirit of the well-known quote by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

As we say goodbye to Margaret Dell Hale, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and generosity. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Margaret's journey on earth may have ended, but her influence and the love she shared will endure for generations to come.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home with brother Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Margaret will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
