Margaret Davis Sinquefield

April 19, 1927 — November 13, 2014

Margaret Davis Sinquefield, 87, a resident of Ashford passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Bluff Springs Baptist Church with Brother Jerry Nelson and Brother Dennis Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 prior to the service at the church. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Our example of Love, faith and kindness, our “Maw Maw”, Margaret Davis Sinquefield, has departed to receive her crown of Glory. She was born April 19, 1927 to Vida and Emmitt Davis. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and a lifelong resident of Houston County, living in Dothan, then Ashford upon her marriage to Ryals Dawsey Sinquefield. She was employed as a supervisor at Wex-Tex Industries for approximately 20 years. After retirement she worked beside her husband on the farm land they both cherished. She was a member of the “Ma Addison” Sunday school class at Bluff Springs Baptist Church which she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ryals Dawsey “Daw Daw” Sinquefield, her mother, Vida “momma” Davis, Father, Emmitt Davis, one sister Kate Owens, 3 brothers, Jack, Bill and Buck Davis, and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by two sons, Julian Douglas Sinquefield Mary of Ashford, Roger Steve Sinquefield Terri of Calera, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Derrick, Shane Christina, Brandon Richelle, Ryals Holly Sinquefield, Megan Nathan Poe, Heather Eric Essman, and Jonathan Brittny Boyles; fourteen great grandchildren,  Greyson, Maxwell, Emme, Ann Davis, Riley, Samson, and Bram Sinquefield, Caleb Allen, Emma & Aiden Poe, Jerame Saunders, Layken, Lyam and Layne Boyles; one sister in law, Judith Williams; several nieces and nephews; her best friend, Phylis Rowe, and her caregiver, Linda Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Allen, Derrick and Shane Sinquefield, Brandon and Ryals Sinquefield, and Jonathan Boyles. The “Ma Addison” Sunday school class will be honorary pallbearers.
