Mariam Patricia "Pat" Crenshaw, a beacon of love, spirit, and faith, was called home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on December 26, 1943, in the sunshine state of Florida, Pat lived a life that was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family and God's creatures.
Pat was a woman of strong spirit and boundless love. Her heart was as vast as the ocean, and she poured that love into her family, her faith, and her passion for rescuing animals. She was a woman who believed in the power of kindness and compassion and lived her life as a shining example of these virtues.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Crenshaw, and together they raised their children, Debra, Jeanette, and Charles. She was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her wisdom and her stories.
In 2006, Pat left Ruskin, Florida, and moved to Dothan, Alabama. This move marked a new chapter in her life, but she embraced it with the same spirit and faith that had guided her throughout her life. She quickly became lifelong friends with Barbara, Jerome, and Kenny, who were always there.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her daughter Debra, and her parents, Lee and Opal Brown. She leaves behind her children, Jeanette and Charles, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her nieces Bonnie and Patty, her nephew Eddy, and her many friends. Each of them carries a piece of Pat's spirit, her love, and her faith within them.
Pat Crenshaw was a woman of grace, a woman of faith, and a woman of love. Her life was a testament to the power of these virtues, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, a life lived with passion, purpose, and an unwavering faith in God. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, watching over us from Heaven, with the same loving spirit that she showed us every day.
