Marie Jesse Gangle

Marie Jesse Gangle a resident of Dothan passed away on April 1, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. She was 93.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. There will be a wake service held at 7 pm Sunday, April 5, 2009 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends following the services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Catholic Social Services, 557 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36301. Mrs. Gangle was born December 3, 1915 in Cleveland, OH and lived there the early years of her life. She married Rudy Gangle in 1942 and moved to the Panama Canal Zone where she resided for 33 years prior to moving to Dothan in 1979. Mrs. Gangle was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and a member of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate. She was also a volunteer with Catholic Social Services for 23 years.Survivors include three sons, Randy Gangle and his wife Ellen of Republic of Panama, Tom Gangle and his wife Mary Lou of Mobile, AL, Jim Gangle and his wife Judy of Columbus, TX; her 3 daughters, Margaret Damiani and her husband Jules of Atlanta, GA, Patti Harvey and her husband Hugh of Dothan, AL, Barbara Sherer and her husband David of Dothan, AL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
