Marilyn Evans

March 31, 1949 — February 10, 2015

Marilyn Evans, 65, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Sunset Funeral home with Rev. Eddie Biss officiating.

Mrs. Evans was born March 31, 1949 in Abbeville, AL and lived all of her life in Abbeville, Ozark and Dothan. She was employed with Wextex of Dothan and retired after 29 years of service. She was also employed with Purdue Farms for 10 years. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, canning, and sewing. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mae Dell Williamson; her husband James Evans; a daughter Amy Kay Evans; a brother, Bill Turner; a sister Emma Rebecca Turner.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Chris Kyser and Chester Tifany K. Evans; grandchildren, Tiffany L. Evans, Samantha Evans, John Harris, Martin Whitecotton, Sammy Whitecotton, and Madalyn Evans; great-grandchildren, Tayloray Costello and Jacob Costello; siblings, James "Buddy" Folds, Virginia Payne, Judy Skelton, Shirley Williamson, Jane Jerry Hayes, and Mary Randall Fulton; nieces and nephews, Liz Reamer, Kathy Bess, Cindy McLoud, Russell Fullton, Jose Jimenez, Donna Crozier, Theresa Anderson, Barbra Shaw, Steven Williamson, Donnie Williamson, Larry Skelton, Jessica Wilson, Wendy Fleet, and Teresa Hunter; special friends, Tonya and William Smith, Marell Morgan, Joann Harden, and Mattie Ray Blalock.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice especially Penny Chandler, Jeania Despress, Scarlett Adams, and Jessica Thompson.
