Martha Greene

Martha Jane Greene, 73, of Dothan passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Greene was born December 13, 1938 in Barbour County, AL and lived the early part of her life in Clio graduating from Barbour County High School in 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Dothan and was employed as a nurse with Dothan Pediatric Clinic for over 35 years until her retirement in 2000. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Greene was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Dothan.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years William Noah Greene of Dothan; sons, Terry Clinton Cynthia Greene of Tuscaloosa, AL, William Carl Nicole Greene of Dothan, and Eric Allen Jill Greene of Trussville, AL; grandchildren, Clinton Adam Greene, Chelsea Greene Robert Newels, Whitney Greene Gabe Bass, Hannah Alyssa Greene, Elijah Noah Greene, Ethan Isaiah Greene, and Phoebe Elizabeth Greene; sisters, Lena Belle Smith of Clio, AL, and Betty Garner of Ozark, AL; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Chisholm of Dothan, Janet Helms of Ozark, and Miriam Stafford of Clio, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
