Martha Reyna Johnson

Martha Reyna Johnson, 78, of Dallas, Texas and most recently a resident of Extendicare in Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at a local hospital.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 4, 1938 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and lived the early part of her life before moving to Dallas, TX in 1969. She was a homemaker and welcomed all of her children’s friends into her home. She was employed with Equifax and in the motor freight industry working in accounting. She retired from Trinity Industries where she was an active Toastmaster. Mrs. Johnson was an avid volunteer and enjoyed helping with the Cub Scouts, the Red Cross, and dancing and playing games with seniors at St. Joseph’s Residence. She was a devoted Catholic serving faithfully in her parish of St. Elizabeth’s in Dallas.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Iain) McKinnie; sons, Robert (Dana) Johnson and Don (Stacy) Johnson; grandchildren, Taylor (Julia) Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Becca Michelsen, John Michelsen, and David Johnson; and a much loved sister, Rosario Ortega.
