Mary Sue Averett Beverett

Mary Sue Averett Beverett, a resident of Ozark passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Dale Medical Center. She was 66.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Quincey, Rev. Jason Quincey and Rev. Matthew Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.Mrs. Beverett was born on December 31, 1942 in Dale County and resided there most of her life. She was employed with the Dale County Board of Education for 25 years until her retirement in 1998 and has resided in Echo for the past 38 years. Mrs. Beverett was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church.Survivors include her son Randy Beverett and his wife Rachel of Headland; her daughter Elaine Rogers and her husband Kent of Midland City; her former husband Ronald Beverett of Midland City; 3 grandchildren, Chely Beverett, Allison Rogers, Trevor Rogers; a brother George Averett of Homosassa Springs, FL; sisters, Ruth Schorr of Klamath Falls, OR, Nellie Sullivan of Homosassa Springs, FL. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
