Mary Joyce Collins

Mary Joyce Kent Collins, 57, of Kinsey passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

rnMrs. Collins was born in Montgomery, AL and later moved to Abbeville, AL. She has resided in Kinsey, AL for the past twenty four years. She worked at Swedish Match formerly General Cigar for 7 years and delivered the Dothan Eagle for eight years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandma and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to travel to see her mother-in- law, "girlfriend", also known as Katie Arbell Collins in Arkansas. rnShe is preceded in death by her parents B.C. and Louise Kent and brothers Robert Couch, Butch Kent, and Bobby Kent. rnShe is survived in death by her husband, Calvin David Collins; her two sisters, Wanda Carroll and Jo Nowlin; one brother, William Pee Wee Kent; her two sons, Dave Lamar Collins and Perry Dale Collins; her step sons, Michael Collins, Phillip Collins, David Collins, Joey Collins, Johnny Paul Collins; a step daughter, Denise Holcomb; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandkids, and many nieces, nephews. She is also survived by her special friends Carolyn Wilson, Vivian and Harold Jones, Ms. Snow, Mary McSwain, and Roslan Watford. John 16:16 reads "In a little while, and you will see me no longer; and then after a little while you will see me." A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 5th at 10 a.m. at Kinsey Baptist Church. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
