Mary McKenna, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at her residence. She was 86.

Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Newton City Cemetery with Fr. Patrick Gallagher officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home with a Prayer Service at 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1152 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36303, or to Wiregrass Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL, 36303.Born Mary Kathleen Hagler on December 2, 1923 in Dale County, AL. Her mother was Ludie Marks Hagler and her father Joseph Lloyd Hagler. She met and married the late George E. McKenna in 1956 while working as a Civil Service Employee at Ft. Rucker. She traveled the world as an Army Officer’s wife, living in Iran, California and Hawaii among other places.Survivors include a sister Louise Hagler of Newton, AL; two daughters, Mary McKenna Kaiser and husband Ron J. Kaiser of Joplin, MO, and Sheila McKenna Dunbar and husband Donal S. Dunbar of San Antonio, TX; one son Martin D. McKenna and wife Buffy Harper McKenna of Charlotte, NC; three granddaughters, Bridgid McKenna of Charlotte, NC, Alina Dunbar and Erin Dunbar of San Antonio, TX; one grandson, Declan McKenna of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in law, Jane McKenna Kluner and husband Ray Kluner of St. Louis, MO; one niece and three nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
