Mary V. Penton

Mary V. Penton, a resident of Ozark passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Dale Medical Center. She was 86.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Billy Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.Mrs. Penton was born on June 14, 1923 in Dale County and resided in Brown Cross Roads for 62 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Association, the Echo Homemakers Club, and the Midland City Senior Citizens Group.Survivors include her daughters, Pam Phillips Blakey and her husband Phillip of Birmingham, Sandra Casey and her husband Joel of Newton; a sister Betty Baldwin and her husband William of Huntsville; nephews, Ricky Baldwin and his wife Valerie, David Baldwin and his wife Danelle; a niece Carol Butterworth and her husband Chris; several grand nieces and nephews.
