Mary Helon Trawick, known affectionately as Mary to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 81, in her hometown of Dothan, Alabama. Born on July 30, 1942, to the late Robert Earl Lee and Ruby Rogers Lee, Mary's life was a testament to the power of kindness, love, and the simple joys of everyday life.
Mary's journey began in Dothan, where she grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She carried the warmth of her upbringing throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Mary was the beloved sister to Sherry Choate and Roger Lee, and was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joe, Richard, and Eugene Lee, and her sisters Edna Aplin and Sue Blacksheer.

Her life was also marked by love and loss, having been widowed by her first husband, William Johnsie Hollis, and later by Douglas Trawick. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Robbie Peterson. Despite these hardships, Mary's gentle nature and resilient spirit never wavered.
