Maxine Lindsay, a resident of Dothan passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Flowers Hospital. She was 72.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Thursday February 4, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with John Gormley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to services.Mrs. Lindsay was born June 17, 1937 in Geneva County and she moved to Houston County at an early age. She resided in Dothan for more than 60 years. Mrs. Lindsay was employed with Herndon Oil Company and at the time of her death she was working at the Shell Station at Brannon Stand and Highway 84 West.Survivors include her son, Roy Hughes, California; three daughters, Sherri Sawyer, Slocomb, Donna Henley and Debra Hughes both of Gainesville, Florida; five grandchildren, Brian Childree and his wife, Tiffany, Mark Henley and Lindsay Henley, Heather and Kevin Hughes; four great-grandchildren, including Dalyas and Tristian Childree; her brother, Julian Lindsay, Hartford; her sister, Cupedane Acock, Coffee Springs; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
