Merle J Edwards of Dothan passed away on May 14, 2020. She was 93 years old. In consideration of community health and public safety due to the COVID 19 Virus, funeral services will be held for family and close friends at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Dothan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3 pm. Mrs. Merle was born on October 27, 1926 to the late Joseph Walter and Ina Mae Jinright. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her five siblings, Joseph Walter, John Andrew, Maude, Alice, and Ruby Lee. Merle is survived by her loving son, Donnie and his wife Carolyn Head; her grandchildren, Jason (Stacey) Green and Tabitha Head (Tim Dyson); her great grandchildren, Gabby Dyson, Grace Williams, Trenton Dyson, Rebecca Dyson, Brantley Green, and Amelia Rose Dyson.
