Michael Marlin Davis

Michael Marlin Davis, 65, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm Saturday.

Mr. Davis was born August 30, 1948 in Andalusia, Alabama and he resided the early years of his life there.  He graduated from Enterprise High School before joining the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Davis served two tours of duty in Vietnam where he received a purple heart. Following his military service he moved to Dothan and was employed in the car industry as a salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Davis; two sons, Ward Davis and Josh Davis; his parents, Bobbie and Wayne Parker; his brothers, Richard Parker, Randal Parker and Robert Terri Parker; his aunt and uncle, Joann and George Foley and Jackie Lord; several nieces and nephews.
