Michael was born on June 16, 1970 to Bobby and Linda Enfinger Ott in Dale County, Alabama. Having been the son of a retired US Marine, he moved quite frequently but Newton, Alabama was always his home. Following his high school graduation, he joined the US Navy at 19 years old and proudly served as a maintenance technician. He worked with A & P since 1989 but currently worked with Arista Aviation and loved to fly, especially helicopters. Michael loved outdoor living, his favorite spot was sitting on his back porch, drinking coffee or a cold beer, and talking with his dad. He was an outdoor adventurous man and loved to take his air boat out on the water every chance he got. Refinishing old cars and trucks was another favorite pastime when he wasn't watching Fox News. Michael was known to be very stubborn and hardheaded at times, but his love and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all that truly knew him.

Survivors include his wife who he loved with all his heart, Maria Ott; his children, Amanda Coontz, Aaron (Nikki) Vizcaino, and Logan Ott; his 4 grandchildren, Emmerson, Mattis, Lawson, and Elias; his parents, Bobby and Linda Ott; his brothers, Spencer (Erin) Woodham and Juston (Selina) Ott; his sisters, Donna Sawyer and Lisa Ott; several nieces and nephews; and his back porch buddy, his Pitt Bulldog, Zeus.
