Michael Jean Ratcliffe

SFC (Ret.) Michael Jean Ratcliffe, a resident of Daleville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at a Dothan hospital. He was 82.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 11:15 am at Restoration Church in Midland City, Alabama with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Ratcliffe was born in Muncie, Indiana on September 12, 1935 and lived there the early years of his life. He was a graduate of Harrison Township High School before joining the Army where he served two tours in Germany and one tour in Hawaii. His last duty station was Fort Rucker, Alabama and retired there after 26 years of military service. He was later employed by the Veterans Administration with Southeast Alabama Veterans Healthcare System as a certified pharmacy technician until he retired in 2016. Mr. Ratcliffe was a founding member of Restoration Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Ratcliffe; daughters, Erika Lucille Ratcliffe and Beverly Lois Enfinger; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and three cousins, Ronald Brown, Jerry Brown and Joe Brown.
