Mike Grantham

Mike Grantham died peacefully at the age of 58 at his home in Dothan on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from a two and a half year battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 205 Holly Lane, Dothan, AL, with Rev. Ede Plovanich officiating and Robert Byrd directing. A private family interment service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain and Tumor Center at Duke University, c/o Ellen Stainback, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC, 27710.Survivors include his wife Claire Grantham of Dothan; a son Michael Grantham and his wife Sarah of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Knox and Emmaline Grantham; his mother Mary Nell Grantham; a sister Kathy Thomley and her husband Don of Dothan; a niece and nephew Amanda and Justin Thomley; his mother-in-law Bonnie McKay; a sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Gordon McIntyre; nieces Claire and Anne McIntyre. He was preceded in death by his father Roan Grantham and his father-in-law Emmett W. McKay. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
