Mildred Jessie Patton, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. She was 93. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Mrs. Patton was born on October 24, 1924 in Ancon Canal Zone in Panama and moved in 1969 to Dunnellon, Florida. Mrs. Patton lost the love of her life in 1977, her husband Richard Pershing Patton. She then relocated to Dothan in 1978, where she resided most of her life. Mrs. Patton was a homemaker and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. She was also a volunteer at Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a translator. Survivors include her son, Richard James (Sheila) Patton; her daughter, Linda Margaret (Mike) Basham; her 4 grandchildren, Ashley (Troy) Anderson, Richard (Cara) Patton, Karl (Tara) Basham, and Susan Basham; her 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Urey; and several nieces and nephews.
