Minnie Kaszowski, a resident of Dothan passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Wesley Manor. She was 85.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher and Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 5 pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.Mrs. Kaszowski was born March 7, 1925 in Martinhagan, Germany and she lived there the early years of her life then moved to the United States in 1949 and resided in Youngstown, Ohio for 27 years. Mrs. Kaszowski resided in Holiday, FL prior to moving to Dothan in 2006. She was a homemaker and the widow of Carl Kaszowski. Mrs. Kaszowski was a member of the Youngstown Saxon Club and St. Columba Catholic Church.Survivors include her son John Kaszowski and his wife Frances of Massillon, OH; two daughters, Renate Irene Hearn and her husband Jerry of Dothan and Anita Oles and her husband Norm of Boardman, OH; five grandchildren, Anthony J. Hearn, Jennifer Cope, David Cope, Alyson Zwingler, and Daniel Kaszowski; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Kahti Studenroth of Ehlen, Germany and Alma Flynn of Australia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
