Mrs. Lynn Hughes McAdams of Dothan passed away October 5, 2021 at Flowers Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 4 days shy of being 62.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 am in Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family requests that everyone attending dress casually. In lieu of flowers, Lynn's wishes were for donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Lynn was born on October 9, 1959 to the late John Daniel "J.D." and Merle Hughes. She was a 1976 graduate of Hallie Turner Private School. She found a passion for cake decorating for several years, and later by serving at local restaurants; Dobbs BBQ, Garland House, but finally found her work home of 17 years at Highland Oaks inside Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Lynn loved her family more than anything. Anyone who got to know her was beyond blessed. She was known for her bright smile, contagious laugh, and her willingness to help anyone who ever needed it. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Edna Hughes; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years this month, Jerry McAdams; her daughter, Ashley McAdams (Tracy) Wood; her niece, Tracy Turvin (Robert) Jolley; her special life-long friend, Patsy "P.J." Jesko; and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Bryant, Tracy Wood, Jackson Wood, Compie McAdams, John Jerry and David Thompson.
