Myra Louise Henderson, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 70. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are being accepted in order to assist with expenses. Mrs. Henderson was born on October 6, 1949 in Cairo, Georgia and moved to Texas at an early age. After graduating from high school in El Paso, TX, she moved to Dothan. She was employed with Twitchell until her retirement. Mrs. Henderson enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, spending time with her family, listening to country music, photography and cooking. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Boyett, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Sellers Boyett, by her brother, John Boyett, by her grandfather, Durrell Sellers, and by her fur baby, Penelope. Survivors include her son, Roy "Doss" (Kim) Henderson; her daughter, Dorlisa Henderson; her grandchildren, Ross (Krista), Aaron (Langley), Parker, Presley, Curtis, and Cody; her great-grandchildren, Gracie and Avery; her brothers, Otis (Margie) Boyett, Jr., Larry (Carmen) Boyett, Adrian (Tammy) Boyett and Samuel Boyett; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Boyett; the father of her children and very special friend, Roy Henderson, Sr.; and by her fur baby, Chica. Burial Date October 21, 2019 Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating.
