Nancy Newton Lohner

Nancy Newton Lohner, 61, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at her residence.

rnFuneral services will be held 10 am Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. rnMrs. Lohner was born June 8, 1949 in Houston County and she resided all of her life in Dothan. She graduated from Troy University and taught elementary education at Cottonwood from 1971 until her retirement in 1992. Mrs. Lohner later worked with Copies to Go for fourteen years until she retired in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn “Pete” Newton and Thelma “Pee Wee” Newton. rnSurvivors include her husband, Leonard Lohner, Dothan; her son, Adam Smith, Gainesville, FL; her daughter, Amy Crosby, Tuscaloosa, AL; four grandchildren; her sister, Melissa Merrill, Dothan; a niece and a nephew. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
